The Trust is seeking a team-oriented, high-performing professional to play a leadership role in developing and implementing a community relationship management strategy and overseeing a team of three Community Relationship Managers. The Senior Manager, Delivery of Benefits is one of three Senior Management roles in the department and reports to the Director, Delivery of Benefits. This role can be based in any of the four Trust offices (Castlegar, Cranbrook, Golden or Nakusp).

As an experienced, community-minded leader, you are able to successfully manage people, projects, budgets and programs, while maintaining excellent working relationships across a wide range of stakeholders. The priorities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing an overall community relationship management strategy within Basin communities that aligns with the Trust’s strategic priorities, guiding principles and mandate.
  • Overseeing relationship development and community engagement with stakeholders and communities, including oversight of the Manager, Community Relationships team.
  • Building and maintaining close relationships and directly engaging with local leaders, community groups and various levels of government in the Basin.
  • Developing and monitoring budgets for Trust programs and initiatives and recommending funding for projects and programs in communities.
  • Identifying opportunities to address the Trust’s strategic priorities with communities and raising awareness of the Trust’s available support methods.
  • Managing, monitoring and evaluating contracts with organizations and individuals to deliver the Trust’s programs, projects and services.

You have a Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business, public policy, economics and/or political science and a minimum of seven years of experience in public program administration and management, including significant experience in a senior management role. You effectively manage multiple work priorities under pressure and meet deadlines, and have a high degree of tact, diplomacy, confidentiality and discretion at all times.
